As followers of Jesus, the question that we have to continually ask is, “what kind of human being am I going to be?”

Have you ever seen something that you thought was too bad to be true? I know the cliché saying is, “it’s too good to be true.” But, what I want to know is if you’ve ever seen something that was too bad to be true?

What are you doing right now—in this moment, today, this week—that’s preparing you to step into what you were born to do?

David—a shepherd boy—once went before the current King of Israel, Saul, and told him that he’d be willing to fight a giant on behalf of the nation of Israel because no one else would.

As I’ve reflected on some of my favorite movies over the years, I realized this common thread woven into many of my favorite movies and it was the idea of unlikely friends forming intimate relationships.

We all have much to learn and glean from Jesus with respect to leadership. However, our understanding can only begin when we’ve come to terms with the fact that we will never be the leader. And if we ever find ourselves in a position where we are, then I’d venture to say Jesus isn’t who he should be—the Lord of our life.

Many are asking the question, “how do I become an influencer?” In fact, in 2019, 86% of young Americans surveyed said they wanted to become a Social Media Influencer. “Social media star” is the fourth-most desired career aspiration of kids. But, what does it mean to be an influencer and why are so many people aspiring to become one?
